Our Primary Venue: The New Victory Theater
Just steps from the Times Square-42nd Street subway stops, The New Victory is a 499-seat, historic, jewel box theater restored to its original glory. The majority of our shows are presented here, in the oldest operating theater in New York City. Down in the lobby you'll find stroller parking, free lockers to store your stuff, healthy snacks and New Vic merchandise to take home.
This venue is accessible via a set of 3 stairs in the lobby or a wheelchair lift located to the right when facing the main entrance.
An elevator services the Lower Level (for restrooms and merchandise), Orchestra Level (ground floor), Mezzanine Level (2nd floor), and Balcony Level (3rd floor) of the theater. Lew's Lobby and the Function Room are located a few steps below the Lower Level and can be accessed via a set of 5 stairs or a wheelchair lift.
There are no stairs in the Orchestra. While the elevator services the Mezzanine and Balcony levels, there are a minimum of 4 steps down to access Mezzanine seating and a minimum of 11 steps down to access Balcony seating.
Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the Orchestra and Balcony. Easy Transfer seats with arm rests that may be raised are also available for individuals who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids and would like to transfer into a theater seat. For more information, please call 646.223.3010.
Assistive listening devices are available for audience members who are hard of hearing. They may be picked up at Concessions in Lew’s Lobby or you may ask an Usher for assistance.
Audio-described performances for audience members who are blind or visually impaired are available via Healing Arts Initiative for select productions. Through a small earpiece, trained describers will provide necessary detail through descriptions of the live action between the actors' dialogue. Visit the Calendar to review those dates or call 212.575.7666.
Autism-friendly performances are available in consultation with Autism Friendly Spaces, Inc. for select productions. Visit the Shows and Events page to review those dates.
Sign-interpreted performances are available via Hands On for most productions. Visit the Calendar to review those dates or visit HandsOn.org
Please do not bring backpacks or large bags to the theater. All bags are subject to inspection. Thank you.
Stroller parking and lockers for coats are provided free of charge in the Lower Lobby.
Men's and Women's restrooms are located in the Lower Lobby. Step stools for younger guests are provided.
Water fountains are located in the Lower Lobby.
During performances, a live feed of the show is available in Lew's Lobby for younger patrons who need a break from the theater setting.
Healthy snacks are available for purchase with cash at Concessions in Lew’s Lobby before the show. However, no food or drink except bottled water is allowed inside the theater. For productions that include an intermission, Concessions is also open during the break.
Merchandise inspired by our productions is available for purchase with cash before and after the show.
Booster seats are also available free of charge in the Lower Lobby or from an usher. However, they are only permitted on the Orchestra level.
