Getting to Know Liberi Di… Physical Theatre

Based in Milan and founded in 2007, Liberi Di... began as a dance collaboration between four circus gymnasts: Davide Agostini, Stefano Pribaz, Valentina Marino and Giulia Piolanti. Since then, they've grown their ensemble to seven, joining forces with jugglers, acrobats and actors to playfully weave their talents into athletic, theatrical routines. Liberi Di... is a rising star in European physical theater, and we're proud to welcome them as the first Italian circus on the New Vic stage. Benvenuti!

Accolades and Highlights:

  • The company's four founders performed in the acrobatic dance piece "Olympic Spirit" during the Opening Ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino.
  • Performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2015 to rave reviews
