The acclaimed Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) joins forces with Milan's 250-year-old Colla Marionette Company to present an evocative and visually stunning Macbeth. Shakespeare's chronicle of treacherous greed and revenge is distilled down to its core, where mistfortune leads to murder and madness. Voiced by a commanding cast of CST actors, exquisite, hand crafted puppets enact a gruesome tale that begins in a shadowy cave, spreads through the corridors of Dunsinane Castle and erupts onto the battlefield. An international collaboration of direction and design, CST and Italy's premier puppet masters create an innovative adaptation of one of the world's most famous tragedies.
