Fierce, feisty and funky, this damsel in distress is unlike any long-locked Rapunzel you’ve ever seen! For one, her hair is not that fairy tale mantle of long golden waves, but raven-black handfuls of dreadlocks, thankyouverymuch. Springtime brings the New York debut of England’s award-winning Kneehigh Theatre to The New Victory with a non-traditional rendition of Rapunzel’s fight for freedom.
This hard-boiled heroine takes on deceitful tricksters, dangerous characters - and a way overprotective mother - in her quest for true and lasting love.
