The New Victory Theater introduces students from Pre-K to 12th grade to a broad spectrum of theater, dance, music, puppetry and circus productions from around the world. In addition to attending high-quality live performances, the New Victory Education Partnerships provide a dynamic program for more extensive engagement with the performing arts both at the theater and in schools, after-schools, youth programs, summer schools and summer camps that foster long-lasting, impactful and collaborative relationships.
All New Victory Education Partnerships include:
TICKETS TO DAYTIME PERFORMANCES
Dedicated daytime performances take place during the week throughout the season (School Year: generally October – June; Summer: July). Tickets are reserved in advance via a real-time ordering process on a first come, first-served basis. There is a 10:1 ratio for student and chaperone tickets.
TALK-BACKS WITH COMPANY ARTISTS
After each performance, students engage with the artists just seen on stage for a moderated discussion.
FREE NEW VICTORY SCHOOL TOOL® RESOURCE GUIDES
The online New Victory School Tool resource guide for each production includes information about the company, the themes and art forms and offers ready-to-implement, grade-appropriate activities for educators to facilitate with their students directly.
FREE CLASSROOM WORKSHOPS
New Victory Teaching Artists lead Classroom Workshops designed to engage students in an active exploration of the themes and art forms they see on the stage. Held at the school or camp facility prior to or after the performance, these sessions deepen the students' viewing experience.
Partner Teacher discounts are available for weeklong Creativity Seminars (Summer Professional Development Intensive). Creativity Seminar information is typically published in late spring each year.
EDUCATOR DISCOUNT ON EVENING AND WEEKEND PERFORMANCE TICKETS
Educators who coordinate Partnerships for their site receive a discount of up to 40% off tickets to public performances at The New Victory Theater.
