New Victory is an approved New York State Education Department Sponsor of Continuing Teacher & Leader Education (CTLE). New Victory believes the performing arts are an invaluable resource in the classroom and provides professional learning opportunities for educators working with Grades Pre-K – 12 by exploring myriad art forms, including puppetry, circus, dance and theater. Participants gain practical strategies to incorporate performing arts into their teaching methods and help children learn through art making, skills building, reflection and discussion. The practical Teaching Artist-led workshops are curated to meet each school’s needs and goals in the arts. Prices vary depending on the scope and scale of sessions. Professional Learning Labs Professional Learning Labs provide a collaborative space for educators to work as artists, learn new art form techniques to bring to their students, and make connections to their classroom goals and units. Each workshop will highlight alignments to the Next Generation Learning Standards, Blueprints for Teaching and Learning in the Arts, New York State Arts Standards and National Arts Standards. All eligible participants of these in-person workshops will receive up to two (2) CTLE credit hours per workshop. Explore the 2025-26 Professional Learning Labs Grow with GIVE Professional Learning Grow with GIVE is based on the free guide that supports educators in the creation of liberated learning environments and vibrant arts experiences within education settings. These participatory workshops, open to any school or organization, can be held in person or virtually. GIVE Trainers provide pathways for engaging with the GIVE resources and developing strategies to increase inclusivity within learning spaces for all learners. Create Professional Learning Series Since 2013, New Victory has partnered with New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and the Arts Office (formerly the Office of Arts and Special Projects) to bring high-quality professional learning in theater to Pre-K educators through the Create Professional Learning Series. New Victory Teaching Artists and staff work closely to develop curricula that support early childhood educators as they learn how to center the arts in their teaching practice and in any learning space.
