Covid-19 Guidelines for Field Trips

Please review the Covid-19 Safety Guidelines for New Victory Education Performances. These guidelines follow guidance and recommendations in accordance with CDC, New York State Department of Health and New York City Department of Education in order to protect the health and safety of our school audiences, artists and staff.

We will update these guidelines as we continue to monitor and follow the guidance and recommendations, and as circumstances change keeping safety in mind for everyone.

Updated as of: 5.10.22

Face Masks

Masks are required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, and must be worn at all times while in the theater. All masks must completely cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings. We strongly encourage KN95 or N95 masks.

Vaccination & Covid-19 Tests

For Students:

Within 21-48 hours of an education performance, School Liaisons must certify that student attendees meet one of the following criteria:

  • provided proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • have received a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the 11am field trip date
  • have received a negative Antigen test within 24 hours of 11am curtain of the field trip date

Individual documentation will not be collected by New Victory Education, however, a reminder of this certification agreement is listed when booking tickets and the specific Covid-19 safety certification document will be in the performance reminder email sent out prior to the performance for school liaisons to complete and return.

For Adults:

Full vaccination is required for all adults in each school group visiting the theater, including teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, parents and all other chaperones.

Full vaccination means you’ve received either a one-dose or two-dose Covid‑19 vaccine (approved by the FDA or WHO) and your final dose is at least 14 days before your New Victory performance.

Proof of vaccination can be in the form of a physical vaccination card, an unobstructed photo of the card or digital documentation such as the Excelsior Pass Plus, Docket, etc.

All New Victory staff including Education Staff, New Victory Ushers, Teaching Artists and all visiting artists/creative teams will be fully vaccinated (including boosters, if eligible) and are adhering to regular Covid-19 Testing protocols developed per production.
