We’re excited to announce the 2021-22 New Victory Season, thoughtfully curated by our Artistic Director Mary Rose Lloyd. With continued emphasis on the health and safety of our kids and families, we found new ways to change our seating plans, show schedules and protocols so that you can have a little peace of mind with every ticket purchase. We will release policies around specific shows at the time of their on-sale dates. By trusting us with your return to the theater, you will discover a mix of in-person productions and virtual presentations that offer you the flexibility of choice in the year ahead.
Juneteenth, celebrated annually on June 19th since 1865, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Americans. Last year, we made a commitment to celebrate the holiday through New Victory Arts Break, sharing more about the event’s historical and cultural context and exploring the relationship between activism and the arts. The response from you and from the hundreds of teachers we work with was overwhelmingly positive.
New Victory audiences have expanded as we embrace our family of international artists and help kids discover global cultures, art forms and human experiences through New Victory Arts Break. This series of free arts curriculum has garnered over 750,000 national and international online views through our website.
Any impediment can be viewed as an opportunity for growth, a moment to test our powers of creativity, and a chance to begin anew.
New Victory Arts Break, our online performing arts curriculum (which recently surpassed 150,000 views!) was created to do just that: bring you joy.
Thank you, our donors, patrons and friends, for your outpouring of support. Every kind message and generous contribution has been overwhelming.
In light of a rapidly changing climate, New 42 has decided to cancel the rest of the New Victory season effective March 13 through June 14, 2020.
In this new year, New Victory LabWorks takes center stage at New 42 with both works-in-progress and productions on stage this winter at New Victory.
To live in New York is to surround ourselves with cultures, traditions and experiences unlike our own.
Meet the new President & CEO of the New 42, Russell Granet, and how he aims to champion equity and inclusion in the performing arts that move us.
