About the Show

Pow! Crash! Oi! The uproar from Down Under, Circus Oz is here to unleash some Merry Mayhem on your unsuspecting family. Exploding onto the stage in a rascally rainbow of high-flying frivolity, this multi-generational, muscle-bound ensemble tumbles, tussles and trapezes to the beat of a live rock band! Can an archer hit her target on rollerskates? Can a daredevil granny survive the Dive of Death? Can an aerialist reach the ceiling in his satin gown? Embrace the holiday frenzy and buckle up for a uniquely Aussie celebration of subversive circus fun.

A little naughty, a little nice, a little death-defying

Things to Know

  1. This will be Circus Oz’s sixth time bringing their Australian flair to the New Victory stage! They were last here for the 2012 holidays with Circus Oz: From The Ground Up Tour.
  2. The ensemble of Merry Mayhem is multigenerational—the seven performers you’ll see on stage were born across six decades!
  3. From playful punches to pranks and pratfalls, the knock-about antics of Circus Oz can be summed up in one awesome Aussie word—larrakin: a boisterous, badly behaved boy who balks at convention.

The show on stage is just one act of your experience! Come early or stay late for free lobby activities on the day of the show. Then whether you’re building anticipation, continuing the fun or looking for laughs at any time, at-home New Victory Arts Break activities await you whenever and wherever.

About the Artists

Fast approaching 50 years of ridiculous exuberance, the madcap mob known as Circus Oz continues to take its place at the forefront of international contemporary circus. After a brief hiatus and restructuring in 2022, Circus Oz is reinventing itself for a new generation. As dedicated as ever to presenting spectacles of unrelenting power, poise and rock ‘n’ roll, these amazing Aussies remain one of the most highly trained and renowned circus companies performing today!
