About the Show

A baby’s first smile. A child’s first steps. Sometimes the littlest in our lives are proof of life’s greatest wonders. Created by Spellbound Theatre (The World Inside Me, 2019), Shakespeare’s Stars invites tiny hands and feet to discover infinite possibilities in an intimate multisensory experience. Bringing The Bard’s best lines about the cosmos to life with starlit props, musical instruments and mesmerizing movement, this gentle show reminds us that “we are such stuff as dreams are made on.”

The perfect introduction to theater

Be Your Best Mom

Did You Know?

  1. Staged in the New Victory Theater’s lower lobby space, Shakespeare’s Stars is designed as a safe and judgment-free space where babies can be babies, whether that means crawling curiously into the performance space or taking a much-needed break.
  2. Toddler shows are back! By the time Shakespeare’s Stars opens, it will have been three and half years since our last show for this age group. We look forward to welcoming your little one to what’s likely to be their first theatrical experience!
  3. Spellbound Theatre developed Shakespeare’s Stars as part of New Victory LabWorks in 2019 and 2020. Other Spellbound works developed in LabWorks include The World Inside Me in 2016-17 and Ears, Nose, and Tail in 2014-15.
