Under the leadership of Artistic Director Mary Rose Lloyd, New Victory attends hundreds of live productions each year to find adventurous work for our stages.
New Victory discovers performances from around the globe that excite and move us and celebrate different perspectives and experiences.
Featuring artistic disciplines and traditions from many cultures, curated from visits to international, national and local festivals and performance venues, every New Victory season includes a mix of performing arts genres with shows for a wide range of ages. Artistic Director Mary Rose Lloyd reflects that it "is so vital for young people to experience global culture. Not only does it help shape their perspectives and humanity, but hopefully, it opens up a curiosity that will fuel their imagination and inspire them to learn more about the world."

New Victory is a premier New York stage and the standard-bearer of family performing arts in the U.S. Several New Victory shows have been recognized with Tony, Obie and Drama Desk Awards. New Victory has received a special Drama Desk Award for “providing enchanting, sophisticated children’s theater that appeals to the child in all of us, and for nurturing a love of theater in young people.” New 42, the parent organization of New Victory, is the recipient of a 2025 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre!
