"John, wake up! There is a boy here who is to teach us to fly!" With no green tights in sight, this wild and unlikely PETER PAN lands on the New Victory stage with a dream ensemble via the brilliant imagination of Sydney's Belvoir (The Book of Everything, New Vic 2012). Aided by a bit of fairy dust, ingenious stage magic and lots of happy thoughts, the Darlings explore J.M. Barrie's Neverland as their bedroom becomes a lagoon full of mermaids, a pirate ship at sea and a cove overrun with lost boys. Under the spell of infectious make-believing, audiences are sure to un-grow up and fly along with them: second star to the right and straight on till morning!

Getting to Know Belvoir

Belvoir is one of Australia's most celebrated theaters: well-known actors Geoffrey Rush and Cate Blanchett have both called it home and internationally renowned director Neil Armfield led the company from 1996-2010. While the Belvoir St Theatre is located in Sydney, its productions travel to major arts centers and festivals throughout Australia and around the world. New York audiences have been lucky enough to enjoy Belvoir's The Diary of a Madman, Exit the King and, in 2011, at The New Victory itself, The Book of Everything.

Though Neil Armfield provided New Victory audiences with an introduction to Belvoir's artful and beautifully crafted work, we are delighted to now welcome current Artistic Director Ralph Myers and his staging of Peter Pan. Myers believes that "the audience is as essential as the performers. Everybody in the room is participating in a type of conversation." With Peter Pan, Belvoir—and The New Victory—invite everyone to take flight into a Neverland limited only by our imaginations.

THE NEW VICTORY THEATER

Just steps from the Times Square-42nd Street subway stops, The New Victory is a 499-seat, historic, jewel box theater restored to its original glory. The majority of our shows are presented here, in the oldest operating theater in New York City. Down in the lobby you'll find stroller parking, free lockers to store your stuff, healthy snacks and New Vic merch to take home.

Located inside the New 42nd Street Studios building, The Duke on 42nd Street is home to New Victory programming that requires a more intimate space.

THE NEW 42ND STREET STUDIOS

Located just down the block from The New Victory Theater, the New 42nd Street Studios host New Vic shows geared towards our youngest audience members. The space allows for a variety of seating configurations, including options for floor seating, making it easy to move around and step out of the theater area if you and yours need to do so. Stroller parking and changing tables are available.
