Cirque Ziva
Golden Dragon Acrobats from Hebei Province, China

The Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats sparkle in a stunning spectacle of breathtaking skill and beauty in CIRQUE ZÍVA. Captivating acts of ancient artistry and dazzling showmanship are on display when acrobats teeter and tower 30 feet in the air and dive through hoops in energetic ensemble performances. A gifted contortionist, neon German wheels and a festive lion dance join the impressive lineup to compete for crowd favorite in this thrilling theatrical experience. Under the expert eyes of impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang (Drama Desk nominees), CIRQUE ZÍVA is unlike any other show you'll see this holiday season.

Getting to Know Golden Dragon Acrobats

Audience favorite Golden Dragon Acrobats return to the New Vic with awe-inspiring feats and displays of tremendous athleticism. Their newest show, CIRQUE ZÍVA, originally played at the Asbury Park Boardwalk's Paramount Theatre in 2011 and was the first summer run at the venue in its more than 80-year history. The troupe's 2005 New York debut at The New Victory earned them two Drama Desk nominations (Angela Chang for Best Choreography and Danny Chang for Most Unique Theatrical Experience). Danny Chang, the group's founder, producer and artistic director, is one of the world's leading promoters of Chinese acrobatics and has received the prestigious Medal for International Faith and Goodwill by the Republic of China's Coordination Council for North American Affairs. The Golden Dragon Acrobats have traveled to all 50 states and over 65 countries on five continents. We're thrilled to have them back on our stage in the Big Apple!

PLAY!   PLAY! For activities that open up the world of each production, check out the free online Family Activity (available right here in December) and head to the lower lobbies to exercise your imaginations in an interactive "Try This." Your Trip to Our Theaters

Just steps from the Times Square-42nd Street subway stops, The New Victory is a 499-seat, historic, jewel box theater restored to its original glory. The majority of our shows are presented here, in the oldest operating theater in New York City. Down in the lobby you'll find stroller parking, free lockers to store your stuff, healthy snacks and New Vic merch to take home.

Located inside the New 42nd Street Studios building, The Duke on 42nd Street is home to New Victory programming that requires a more intimate space.

Located just down the block from The New Victory Theater, the New 42nd Street Studios host New Vic shows geared towards our youngest audience members. The space allows for a variety of seating configurations, including options for floor seating, making it easy to move around and step out of the theater area if you and yours need to do so. Stroller parking and changing tables are available.
