About the Show

Everyone say, “Robot magic!” Upgrading his inventions for the New Victory stage, it’s Mario Marchese, the world’s loudest kid whisperer. With a magnetic mixture of mad scientist shenanigans, big-kid showmanship and superb sleight of hand, Mario the Maker Magician 2.0 invites kids (and their grown-ups) to join in on the chaos. Mario’s DIY spirit of handmade set pieces and scrappy contraptions proves that the real magic is in using what you have and doing what you love.

Borderline anarchy that’s extremely good fun

Things to Know

  1. From passed props and live camera feeds to onstage participation, Mario involves the audience in the show! While all levels of the theater will see some interaction, seats along the aisles of the Orchestra level are your best bet for getting in on the magic.
  2. Mario has amazed audiences on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sesame Street, Universal Kids and HGTV. He’s even opened for David Blaine, who dubbed Mario “the best kids’ magician in the world!”
  3. You may have seen Mario during one of his sold-out runs at SoHo Playhouse downtown. However, this show is an entirely new production created for the New Victory!

The show on stage is just one act of your experience! Come early or stay late for free lobby activities on the day of the show. Then whether you’re building anticipation, continuing the fun or looking for laughs at any time, at-home New Victory Arts Break activities await you whenever and wherever.

About the Artist

Mario “the Maker Magician” Marchese is a New York-based performer, author and maker who has toured worldwide with his all-ages theater shows. A New Victory LabWorks Artist, he infuses his work with DIY electronics and robotics and uses magic to inspire kids to make and create without limitation. A family business through and through, his shows are a collaborative effort between Mario, his wife and their two kids (the real bosses).
