About the Show

Omnium (Latin for “of all and belonging to all”) ensures everyone is in on the action in a spirited spectacular that is both limit-defying and life-affirming. Run away and join the circus with young Johnny as he finds himself among an awe-inspiring, inclusive ensemble featuring a Deaf ringmaster, an award-winning gymnast who uses a wheelchair and an aerialist born without legs. Accessible to all, every performance incorporates American Sign Language, audio description, open captioning, sensory-friendly lighting and sound, and a relaxed environment where movement and vocalization are welcome. Things to Know

1. A relaxed environment at every performance means you can express your joy and astonishment however you like. We’ll have fidgets and ear defenders available, and a calming corner and activity area downstairs with a live feed of the show if you need a break. A separate Sensory-Friendly performance on April 28 at 5pm features a shorter running time and reduced seating capacity.
2. 25% of Americans have disabilities, and over 25% of Omnium’s artists, staff and board are disabled. That’s why Omnium is known as “The World’s Most Inclusive Circus.”
3. Circus is a family affair! Omnium’s ensemble includes members of the España family, who have been performing in circuses for six generations, as well as clowning couple Miss Jane and Rob Lok.

About the Artists

One of the brightest things to come out of 2020 was the debut of Omnium Circus, a long-held dream project for Lisa B. Lewis, who co-founded the Super Scientific Circus and spent many years working with the Big Apple Circus. Omnium features a multi-talented, multi-racial cast with and without disabilities in a show that is leading a global movement for systemic change in family entertainment.
